A teenager once came down with cancer. He was 17 years old and could have died at any moment. He was always at home, under his mother's care. # \  B4 `4 z1 l+ `( ~3 a8 J

5 ^  Q$ y( A) C& M9 LOne day he decided to go out, even if it was just once. He asked his mother for permission and she agreed. Walking down his block he saw many stores. Stopping at a music store he looked in and saw a very pretty girl about his own age, it was love at first sight and he walked in. ( Y' z+ ^+ b7 [# S, j# F
9 Y+ {4 Y. ?" p6 G5 ]- _
He walked up to the counter where the girl was. She smiled at him and asked "Can I help you with anything?" The guy could only think that it was the most beautiful smile he had ever seen and stuttered, "Well, umm, I'd like to buy a CD." + }3 K. N* b- s/ O( V0 K+ `) C! f" X
! Q3 N6 G" p6 s1 s5 e
He grabbed the first one he saw and gave her the money. "Do you want me to wrap it?" the smiling girl asked. The guy said yes and the girl went into the back room to wrap it. The guy took the wrapped CD and walked home. ! w4 C9 @1 y$ I. a4 g' r- J

9 A8 T& T/ Q) u9 x! }From that day on he visited the music store everyday, and each day he bought a CD. And each day the girl wrapped them up and the guy stored them unopened in his closet.

He was a very shy boy, and although he tried he couldn't find the nerve to ask the girl out. His mother noticed this and encouraged him.

The next day the guy set out for the store and bought a CD. While the clerk wrapped up the CD, he left his telephone number on the counter and rushed out of the store.

# T! Q3 h1 P( A7 H2 XThe following day the guy didn't visit the store, and the girl called him. His mother answered the phone. It was the girl from the music store! She asked to speak with the woman's son and the mother started crying. "Don't you know? He died yesterday."

Later that afternoon the guy's mother entered his room. She decided to open his closet and to her surprise she saw a big pile of unopened CDs.   o7 \% g5 b" f9 C8 d
& e: g, c9 R7 p' E" Z4 O3 j2 {2 j
She was curious because there were so many of them, and she opened one. As she tore open the package she noticed a slip of paper that said: "Hi! You're cute, I would love to meet you. Let's go out sometime. Sophie."

The mother started crying as she opened another and another and another. Every single CD contained a slip of paper that said the same thing.

(双人组合Frou Frou)Guy Sigsworth可是鼎鼎大名的音乐家、制作人,制作过Bjork、Jem、Griffiths、Lamb、Madonna、Seal等人的作品。1998年在Imogen Heap个人专辑《I-Megaphone》两人首度合作「Getting Scared」,Sigsworth很爱Heap声音,写了新歌就想叫她来唱,变成了好朋友,决定一道合作,第一首诞生的作品是「Flicks」。
+ p! p! k4 u" e6 ^* K3 n( V( j   取名「Frou Frou」,是取自法国诗人波特莱尔(Charles Baudelaire)的诗,原意是形容女性跳舞裙裾摆动所发出的声音,和专辑《Details》所呈现的女性生活与情感世界,十分吻合。

' Y5 p& r; ?5 g3 R: E. {) @   2002年《Details》在美国MCA唱片出版,除了Heap and Sigsworth双人组外, 还众多名乐手参与,像小提琴家Iona Petcu-Colan、手铃、水晶玻璃器乐演奏家Dair Malloy、管乐家Jon Hassell、贝司手Elad Elharar、double bass Mich Gerber、鼓手Makoto Sakamoto(「The Tears」曰裔鼓手)等,也就难怪有那么好的演奏质量。所以这不只是双人组合的电音女声流行专辑,也可视为集合多乐风Band的跨界作品。
